Borussia Dortmund announce pre-season friendly against Nuri Sahin’s Antalyaspor
Borussia Dortmund will go up against Turkish side Antalyaspor, who are coached by Nuri Sahin, in a pre-season friendly later this month.
Nuri Sahin will be back in Dortmund on July 30, with the Black and Yellows set to face his side Antalyaspor in a pre-season friendly. Borussia Dortmund have announced that the game will take place at the club’s training ground. Kick-off will be at 17:00 CEST.
The game will take place just one day after Borussia Dortmund’s DFB-Pokal first round tie against 1860 Munich. BVB are set to begin their Bundesliga campaign a week later at home to Bayer Leverkusen.
Antalyaspor finished seventh in the Turkish Süper Lig standings last season. They are coached by Nuri Sahin, who has done a remarkable job since taking over last year.
Sahin made 274 appearances for Borussia Dortmund across two spells during his playing career. He is also the second youngest player to ever play for the club, having made his first-team debut at the age of 16 years, 10 months and 18 days.
The 33 year old said in May that he would love to return to Borussia Dortmund as a coach one day. And the friendly against his former club will give him the opportunity to make a strong impression.

The game against Antalyaspor will be Borussia Dortmund’s sixth pre-season friendly ahead of the 2022/23 season. Edin Terzic’s side beat Lüner SV in their first test match earlier this week. They are also set to face Dynamo Dresden, SC Verl, Valencia CF and Villarreal CF in the coming weeks.
