Report: Raphael Guerreiro attracting interest from Juventus
By Tushar Bahl
Juventus are reportedly keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund left-back Raphael Guerreiro, with a view to a potential move for him either in January or next summer.
Raphael Guerreiro is facing an uncertain future at Borussia Dortmund, with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season. Italian giants Juventus are reportedly interested in signing him, with Tuttosport claiming that the Portuguese international is a player they have been eyeing for quite some time now.
Guerreiro is the first-choice left-back at Borussia Dortmund and has made a total of 201 appearances for the club since his move from FC Lorient in 2016. But doubts about his future at the club emerged in the summer when it was reported that the Black and Yellows wanted to sign David Raum from TSG Hoffenheim.
After months of speculation, Raum ended up making the switch to RB Leipzig and Guerreiro stayed at Borussia Dortmund. Reports have claimed in recent weeks that the BVB bosses are unsure whether to offer Guerreiro a new contract.
Guerreiro has split opinion with his performances in recent months, with his defensive struggles often being a source of frustration for supporters. When it comes to going forward though, there are few full-backs with better technique than the 28 year old.
As it stands, Raphael Guerreiro will be a free agent at the end of the season. And it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him. The left-back said in February that he feels very comfortable at Borussia Dortmund, and he would be willing to sign a new contract with the club.
