The Westfalenstadion will host one of Borussia Dortmund’s four remaining Bundesliga fixtures this weekend as Edin Terzic’s squad welcome Nico Kovac’s Wolfsburg.

The stakes hardly need to be addressed. Borussia Dortmund, for what seems to have been the narrative since February, absolutely cannot afford to drop any more points.

Aiming to gauge the state of the BVB squad’s morale has become increasingly difficult in the final stretch of the season. The draw at Bochum has once again left title aspirations hanging by a thread. Wolfsburg, however, will look to build on an impressive 3-0 win over Mainz and fight for the last remaining European spot in the Bundesliga table.

The previous meeting between the two clubs saw Kovac’s men collect all three points after a rampant start. Borussia Dortmund’s loss featured some of the typical errors associated with a stumble away from the Yellow Wall. Namely, atrocious set-piece defending and an inability to break down the opposition that was firmly satisfied with conceding possession.

Borussia Dortmund have established a routine of responding well to disappointing results on the road. It can continue on Sunday, but mistakes must be corrected from the Bochum debacle. Here are three keys to a successful turnaround and three points for the title hopefuls.
