Borussia Dortmund vs Mainz 05: Team News
The final game of the season is here, and Borussia Dortmund have the opportunity to win the Bundesliga title as they take on Mainz 05 this weekend.
Borussia Dortmund are set to go up against Mainz 05 this weekend with the opportunity to make history by winning the Bundesliga title. The Black and Yellows need one more win to secure the Meisterschale and finally put an end to Bayern’s decade of dominance.
Edin Terzic’s side go into the game having scored 22 goals in their last six matches. And they will be hoping for another comfortable win at home on Saturday to secure the Bundesliga title. The 40 year old is unlikely to make too many changes to the side that defeated Augsburg last weekend.
Borussia Dortmund will once again be sweating on the fitness of Jude Bellingham, who is a doubt ahead of the game. The England international is working hard to recover from his knee injury, but has not been able to train with the team as of yet.
Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Mateu Morey, and Thomas Meunier are set to miss Saturday’s game for Borussia Dortmund.
Mainz 05 do not have a whole lot to play for on Saturday, and they go into the game on the back of four straight defeats. The 05ers will be without key striker Ludovic Ajorque, who is suspended. Jonathan Burkardt and Silvan Widmer will also miss Saturday’s game due to their respective injuries.
