Jamie Bynoe-Gittens took part in parts of team training on Tuesday as the Borussia Dortmund players began their US Tour in San Diego.

The start of the new season is less than three weeks away, and preparations are in full swing at Borussia Dortmund. The Black and Yellows completed their first training session in the United States on Tuesday morning, and Edin Terzic was able to welcome back Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

The highly rated winger was forced to miss the business end of last season after undergoing surgery on his injured shoulder. He is now on the comeback trail, and took part in parts of team training on Tuesday. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Bynoe-Gittens was able to take part in the warm-up exercises and also trained with the ball, albeit without any physical contact.

Karim Adeyemi was also able to train with the team as he looks to return to full fitness in time for Thursday’s pre-season match against USL Championship side San Diego Loyal SC.

Gio Reyna and Julien Duranville both trained individually on Tuesday, with the Belgian winger taking a break for load management reasons. The USMNT international is still recovering from the injury he suffered while on international duty last month. And chances are that he will have to watch the majority of BVB’s US Tour from the sidelines.
