Ramy Bensebaini added a third from a corner 31 minutes in as Dortmund led 3-0 at half-time following a thoroughly dominant show.

Niko Kovac's side took their feet off the pedal in the second half but Freiburg continued to struggle, unable to find their way back into the game.

Substitute Fabio Silva then came off the bench to score a fourth goal in the 87th minute to complete the rout as Dortmund were back among the wins in style.
