Borussia Dortmund take on Inter Milan in the final game of the league phase in the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League season.
In an exciting battle between the competition's runners-up of the last two editions, Dortmund and Inter both are vying for a direct spot in the round of 16.
Interestingly, both sides also picked up comprehensive wins in their respective leagues at the weekend, with Dortmund overpowering Union Berlin in a 3-0 Bundesliga triumph while Inter crushed Pisa 6-2 at San Siro in Serie A.
As the European giants meet after a gap of over six years, here's what to look forward to:
Dortmund will rely on home record
Borussia Dortmund have been one of the toughest sides to beat this season, suffering only four losses and one of the key reasons for this has been their incredible record at the Signal Iduna Park.
In 13 home games so far across all competitions this season, Der BVB have lost just once: a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the German Cup.
Niko Kovac's side has turned the Westfalonstadion into a fortress with visitors struggling to fully outmanoeuvre the hosts.
Dortmund will once again rely on their solid home record to pick up a vital win that could see them swoop inside top-8 and do directly into the round of 16, avoiding the treacherous playoffs.
Inter Milan in a free-fall
Up until matchday four, Inter Milan were turning out to be a serious contender to progress into the last-16 directly, having won all four games. But since then, their fortunes in Europe have taken a complete U-turn.
The Nerazzurri have lost their next three Champions League games: 2-1 vs Atletico Madrid, 1-0 vs Liverpool and 3-1 vs Arsenal. This decline in form has seen them drop out of the top eight places and slip to 14th on the table.
Unstoppable force meets immovable object
We could have a fascinating tactical battle on our hands here, given the contrasting strengths of these sides.
Borussia Dortmund have been one of the best attacking teams in the Champions League, scoring 19 goals - only Arsenal, Bayern and holders PSG (20 each) have scored more. The 2-0 loss to Tottenham earlier this months sticks out as the sole outlier as Dortmund were missing their attacking flair.
Meanwhile, Inter have been a solid defensive unit, shipping in only seven goals from as many games. For context, only Arsenal (2) and Newcastle United (6) have leaked fewer goals than them in the competition right now.
