Borussia Dortmund turn their attention towards the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday as Tottenham Hotspur host them at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on matchday seven.
Interestingly, both teams have collected 11 points each in the competition so far this season with three wins, two draws and a loss - an identical set of results for them.
The pressure is on Europa League holders Spurs right now, who come into the fixture on the back of three consecutive wins in all competitions and winless in their last five. Manager Thomas Frank is on the verge of losing his job, too.
Meanwhile, Dortmund have won their last two competitive games, whilst their unbeaten run now stands at seven matches. It should give them the momentum to face a side against whom they have struggled in European meetings.
A flying start
Borussia Dortmund were off to a flyer in this fixture, beating Tottenham Hotspur home and away in the round of 16 of the 2015-16 Europa League season.
The first leg of the tie, also their first ever competitive meeting, saw Der BVB cruise past Spurs in a comprehensive 3-0 victory, powered by a double from former skipper Marco Reus.
It was followed by a 2-1 win in north London, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who had scored the third goal of the earlier meeting, bag a brace as Dortmund completed a 5-1 rout.
Spurs exact revenge, and how
With such a decisive victory in their first meeting, it was hard to guess what followed next for Dortmund.
In just the following year, the sides met for the first time in the Champions League after being drawn in the same group. But this time, Spurs got their revenge.

A Harry Kane-double led the Lilywhites to a 3-1 win at home and then saw off Dortmund 2-1 in the return. Kane was on target again as Aubameyang's opener for the hosts went in vain.
As destiny would have it, the rivals met again in the following season of the Champions League, but in the knockout stages again where the stakes were higher.
In the first-leg of their last-16 encounter, Spurs reigned supreme on Dortmund again, clinching a comprehensive 3-0 victory with Son once again coming back to haunt the Yellow and Blacks.
Harry Kane's lone strike in Dortmund in the second leg meant Tottenham were victorious at the Signal Iduna Park again as Dortmund crashed out following a 4-0 aggregate loss.
Times have changed
Almost seven years later, Dortmund and Tottenham renew hostilities, but in a totally contrasting run of form. While the Premier League giants are struggling with injuries and a loss of form, Dortmund are looking solid right now with their attacking vanguard firing at all cylinders.
On paper, this should be an easy win for Niko Kovac's side, although their leaky defense means we could be in for some more drama here.
