Borussia Dortmund set €100 million asking price for Jamie Gittens as Liverpool plot bid

Borussia Dortmund have set an asking price of 100 million euros for Jamie Gittens, amid interest from the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea in his signature.

Jamie Gittens has enjoyed an impressive start to the season and his performances have attracted the interest of a number of big clubs in the English Premier League, with the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal among the clubs interested in his signature.

Now, Liverpool have also joined the race for his signature as they look to replace Mohamad Salah, who could leave the club next summer. The Premier League leaders are said to be ready to make a strong offer for Gittens.

But Borussia Dortmund are not planning to let Gittens leave for cheap, with BILD reporting that they have set an asking price of 100 million euros for the talented winger.

Gittens signed a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund last year, and has four years left on his current deal with the club.

The 20 year old, who has four goals and three assists to his name this season, joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City in 2020. Gittens scored a match-winning brace for BVB in their Bundesliga opener against Eintracht Frankfurt, and found the net twice again in their Champions League opener against Club Brugge

With Gittens enjoying a breakthrough campaign, the Borussia Dortmund bosses will no doubt have to brace thesmelves for interest from several big clubs. The hope at BVB will be that the England U-21s international decides to stay at the club for years to come.
