The rumor mill has been rife with reports that Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy wants to leave the club this summer while being linked to a few sides too.
Now there are fresh reports linking the 30-year-old to Turkish side Fenerbahce. According to TRT Spor, the Istanbul side has made significant progress in negotiations with the player.
It further states that club president Sadettin Saran reportedly met Guirassy in person and a deal was agreed in principal, which could amplify exit speculations further if true.
As per Transfermarkt, the Guinean international's contract with the BVB runs until June 2028 and is currently valued at €40 million, a figure that can make him one of the most expensive arrivals in the Super Lig history.
The Yellow Canaries are looking to challenge for the league title next season and having a prolific goalscorer who can promise them 15-20 goals a season will no doubt help them massively in their cause.
Fenerbahce have reportedly opened talks with Dortmund too while Guirassy's representatives have indicated that the club might lower his valuation which could accelerate a transfer.
Should he move, Guirassy could become the latest in a growing list of attackers moving to Turkey, with Victor Osimhen, Mauro Icardi, Marco Asensio, Eldor Shomurodov and Talisca all joining Super Lig in recent years.
Adding fuel to exit rumors is Sky Sports claiming that the former VfB Stuttgart striker has already decided to leave the Signal Iduna Park this summer. Clubs like Manchester City and Real Madrid could activate his release clause, while Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are considering the striker too.
Over the last few years, Guirassy has earned a reputation for being of the most menacing penalty box strikers. His 30-goal salvo with Stuttgart brought him to Dortmund and in the next two years, he's scored another 59 times.
Standing at 1.87 meters, the striker boast a towering stature that allows him to dominate aerial duels while possessing electric pace on the break that can help a side quickly transition into attack. His fitness record is enviable too, with Guirassy going the entire campaign without a single injury problem.
Besides scoring, he can create goals too as exemplified by his six assists this season. However, it's also worth noting that at 30, Guirassy isn't getting any younger. His profile mainly suits a club that's looking for an experienced striker and any transfer in the coming months could be the last major move of his career.
