Borussia Dortmund will sign Yan Couto permanently from Manchester City as the purchase clause for the right-back has been triggered.
Yan Couto joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City this past summer on an initial loan deal. And while he has only made seven appearances so far for the club, the obligation to buy clause included in the deal has already been triggered. According to Fabrizio Romano, the overall package of the transfer will cost BVB around 30 million euros.

An agreement between Borussia Dortmund and Couto over a long-term contract has also been reached, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.
The Black and Yellows signed Couto on the back of his exemplary performances while on loan at La Liga side Girona last season. The 22 year old scored two goals and assisted a further ten as Girona qualified for the UEFA Champions League. He has shown glimpses of his attacking quality since moving to BVB and is also slowly establishing himself as a regular starter.
Couto has the attributes to become one of the best attacking full-backs in the world. And while the Brazilian international is still adjusting to life in Germany, he will hope to showcase his quality at Borussia Dortmund in the coming weeks and months.
The other natural right-back in the Borussia Dortmund first-team, Julian Ryerson, also signed a contract extension with the club recently. Nuri Sahin had started to field Couto at right-back and Ryerson at left-back before the international break.
