Borussia Dortmund drew 3-3 to VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga on Saturday as Niko Kovac's side slipped up big time in the second half.

Goals from Emre Can and Maximilian Beier had the BVB 2-0 up at the break, but Deniz Undav fired twice to bring Die Roten level.

Karim Adeyemi came off the bench to restore Dortmund's lead in the 89th minute, but Undav netted a third in stoppage-time to bring up his hat-trick and force a share of the spoils.

It was yet another Bundesliga classic at the Signal Iduna Park but Dortmund were left to stew in their juice following a spectacular bottle job, one that dents their title hopes further.

Here are some key talking points from the pulsating encounter:

Another bottle job by Die Borussen

Borussia Dortmund just cannot stop conceding goals, especially in stoppage-time. It has happened on numerous occasions so far this season - against Juventus, Manchester City, and Hamburg in their last Bundesliga match.

Last night, it happened again!

Adeyemi's 89th-minute goal appeared to have won it for Dortmund, until Undav popped up with an equalizer just about two minutes later. Having led 2-0 at half-time, Der BVB spectacularly bottled it after the break as their defensive frailties were brought to light.

It must be said that all three of Stuttgart's goals were top-drawer and Dortmund had very little chance with any of it, but such alarming concession of goals must worry head coach Niko Kovac.

Undav haunts Dortmund again

Deniz Undav was arguably the biggest threat coming from Stuttgart tonight and he surely made tremors felt across Signal Iduna Park with a sensational hat-trick to earn his side a point.

With Die Roten two goals down at the break, the German took the talismanic mantle upon himself to get his team back into the game. He made it 2-1 just two minutes into the second half before netting an equalizer in the 71st minute.

Just when seemed it Adeyemi had won it for Dortmund in the penultimate minute, Undav comes back to haunt the BVB with a third shortly after to level the scores again and bring up his treble.

He now has six goals against Dortmund, the most Undav has scored against any opponent in his career.

Bundesliga title hopes already over?

This was the fifth time from the opening 11 games in the Bundesliga where Borussia Dortmund dropped points - not exactly the attribute of a wannabe champion, is it?

While the BVB relinquished a healthy advantage, leaders Bayern Munich fought back from two-goals down to crush Freiburg 6-2 in a phenomenal display which burnished their title credentials.

They now boast a nine-point lead over Dortmund as the title race already appears to be over for Kovac's side. In fact, by Monday, they might as well drop to fourth position should RB Leipzig beat Werder Bremen at home.
