Borussia Dortmund star Serhou Guirassy was at it again. He scored two late goals to help lift his team over Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
But then in stoppage-time, he also accidentally scored an own goal for the Yellow Submarine too, as Gregor Kobel's attempted parry came off the striker, who stood just inches away from the goal-line.
So with his name appearing thrice on the scoresheet, Guirassy managed an interesting hat-trick, the kind of which hadn't been produced in the Champions League before.
Despite seeing thousands of goals from thousands of players since the tournament rebranded in 1992, no one has scored two goals and an own goal in the same match.
It's a weird record to make. While the Guinean would be delighted to have helped his side win, he must have also been annoyed to concede that silly own goal late on.
Here are nine other instances of a player scoring multiple goals for their team as well as one own goal for their opponents:
Hugo Duro (Valencia)
Valencia's prime attacker, Hugo Duro scored an own goal for Real Betis in the 14th minute to cancel out Cesar Terraga's opener for Los Che but he went on to make up for that with a second-half brace.
Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)
A striker that needs no introduction. But Vardy too had a comical start to a game once, putting Burnley in front with an own goal. He responded with a double later, including an 85th-minute equalizer for Leicester.
Martin Hinteregger (Eintracht Frankfurt)
The Bundesliga has been witness to this unique phenomenon once when Martin Hingeregger scored twice for Frankfurt and then for rivals, Bayern Munich. Trailing 3-0 at the start of second half, he brought the Eagles within touching distance of the German champions with a quickfire brace. But in the 74th minute, he scored for the Bavarians, who won 5-2.
Roger Marti (Levante UD)
Back in December 2019, Levante were hosting city rivals Valencia and courtesy of Roger Marti's brace, led 2-0 within 20 minutes. But then in the added minutes of the half, Marti accidentally brought Los Che into the game with an own goal. It seemed to open the floodgates as Valencia scored thrice more in the second half and win the match 4-2.
Tammy Abraham (Chelsea)
Chelsea's visit of Wolves in September 2019 was an eventful one for Tammy Abraham. He struck a hat-trick, picked up a yellow card, and ended the night with an own goal too.
Martin Mantovani (Huesca)
Huesca's treacherous 2018-19 season ended with a 2-1 win over Leganes, with all three goals coming from Mantovani. The Argentine put the visitors in front after 39 minutes, but scored a second-half brace, including an 83rd-minute winner to make up for his earlier mistake.
Mikel Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad)
In the 5-2 defeat against Sevilla back in March 2019, Oyarzabal found the net at both ends. First an equalizer, then a late own goal, and finally a penalty for La Real.
Vicente Iborra (Sevilla)
The most prolific spell of Iborra's career came with Sevilla, where he bagged 24 league goals - and one own goal. It came in the 4-3 win over Osasuna on 22 January 2017.
Roberto Soldado (Valencia)
A fearsome striker in his heydays, Roberto Soldado too struck an own goal once, canceling his own first-minute opener for Valencia with a goal for Racing Santander. But the Spaniard eventually made up for that with two goals in 88th and 90th minute to bring up his hat-trick too.
