According to Bild, Jobe Bellingham and Rayan Cherki have been prioritised in Borussia Dortmund's plans for this summer transfer window. As the Black and Yellows managed to qualify for the Champions League at the last moment, BVB have more bargaining power than ever and could make these deals come through despite some contention for the signature of both young stars.

In Jobe Bellingham's case, the Sunderland man will likely hold talks with Dortmund following the Championship Playoff Final at Wembley on Saturday. The Black and Yellows want to seal the deal as soon as possible, as they want Jobe to join the squad for the Club World Cup in June. With clubs like Frankfurt and RB Leipzig also in the race, Borussia Dortmund are now reportedly the favorites to take the Bellingham name back home.

Rayan Cherki's transfer would be a little more complicated, especially due to Lyon's controversial owner, John Textor. The American already gave Dortmund a hard time in the past winter for Cherki's signature, as an almost done deal fell through in the last second. BVB, however, did not give up on him, as they plan on a third attempt to sign the Frenchman, with a the french club now demanding 40 million euros.

If Dortmund were to successfully accomplish a happy ending for both transfers, it would mean that the club would not only rejuvenate the squad but also return to their origins of developing and winning with young talent. It would be an ideal start for a very pivotal transfer window, mainly for Sebastian Kehl and Niko Kovač.
