Jobe Bellingham (19) is Borussia Dortmund's number one transfer target, according to Sky Sports journalist Patrick Berger. As a recent trip to England to talk to the player wasn't enough of a clue, sources say that the board is working hard to reach an agreement with Jude Bellingham's little brother and wants to convince him and his family of a move to Germany.

According to Berger, BVB doesn't rate Jobe higher in terms of talent compared to his brother. However, the bosses are absolutely convinced of his qualities, which made them set the young Englishman as their priority target for the following summer transfer window.

Jobe knows BVB from Jude's time and generally likes the idea of continuing his football career by following his brother's footsteps. At the same time, Jobe praises Dortmund's history of developing young talent, similar to what happened to Jude before he headed to Madrid. However, a Champions League qualification is said to be key for Jobe in his next move, which has increased for BVB according to new odds.

Another issue for Jobe would be the inevitable comparisons to his brother, as Jude made quite a name playing in Black and Yellow, and shoes that are hard to fill. Besides Dortmund, other top clubs are interested, as Jobe's contract with Sunderland lasts until 2028 and no known release clause.

Therefore, BVB will be mandated to pay a transfer fee to sign the new heir to the Bellingham throne, which could cost at least a 25 million euro transfer fee. At this stage, negotiations are still in initial phases, but Dortmund seems to have a plan in place with Niko Kovač, and Jobe Bellingham seems to be a significant part of it.
