3 players who turned their backs on Borussia Dortmund

Given the career Robert Lewandowski has had since leaving Borussia Dortmund, he isn't going to look back at his cut-throat decision with any regret. As a player who served BVB well, it was bittersweet to see the Poland international go onto achieve great things elsewhere, let alone when he joined the list of players who played for Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski left quite the legacy at Borussia Dortmund, remaining their 2nd top goal-scorer in Champions League history. However, he eventually left the club in 2014 to sign for Bayern Munich where he spent 8 years before joining Barcelona.

It is scary to think what BVB could have achieved if Lewandowski spent his best years at the club but I guess this goes down as another "what if?' - Many of which exist in the sport, particularly where Borussia Dortmund are involved.
