Niclas Füllkrug is said to be attracting the interest of the likes of VfB Stuttgart and Fenerbahce, but Borussia Dortmund have no plans to sell the striker at the moment.

With Borussia Dortmund interested in signing Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart, the Swabians are seemingly hoping to bring in Niclas Füllkrug as his replacement. This is being reported by Sky Sport, who add that Stuttgart are keeping an eye on the situation of the 31 year old. Not only Stuttgart, but Fenerbahce are also said to be showing interest in Füllkrug.

But according to Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund are not considering selling Füllkrug and want to go into the new season with two top strikers leading the charge. In addition, the Germany international’s salary demands may well prove to be a stumbling block in any potential move, especially to Stuttgart.

Füllkrug only joined Borussia Dortmund last summer and enjoyed a successful debut campaign at the Westfalenstadion. He quickly became the club’s first-choice striker, and scored 16 goals and assisted a further ten in 46 appearances across all competitions.

The towering striker has also enjoyed an impressive start to Euro 2024, scoring two goals in three substitute appearances, including a last-minute equaliser against Switzerland that helped Germany finish top of Group A.

It will be interesting to see how things develop with regard to the striker situation at Borussia Dortmund in the coming weeks. But it would be a big surprise if the Black and Yellows did decide to sell Niclas Füllkrug this summer.
