Serhou Guirassy has seemingly decided in favour of a switch to Borussia Dortmund, and the move is now increasingly likely to go through.
Borussia Dortmund's interest in signing Serhou Guirassy is no secret, and the transfer could now become a reality soon with the striker keen to make the move. This is being reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, who add that Guirassy has 90% made up his mind.
A move for the 28 year old will cost BVB around 18 million euros due to a release clause in his contract. Guirassy will also receive a high signing bonus, and will likely triple his salary if he joins Borussia Dortmund.
A number of other big clubs have also shown interest in Guirassy, but Borussia Dortmund will hope to wrap up the transfer soon. Newly appointed BVB head coach Nuri Sahin has also reportedly given his go-ahead to the move.
The impending signing of Guirassy will likely pave the way for Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer. Both strikers struggled for game time this season, with Edin Terzic prefering to use Niclas Füllkrug.
The plan is for Guirassy and Füllkrug to compete for the starting spot in the number nine role at Borussia Dortmund in the coming campaign.
Serhou Guirassy is coming off an excellent season with VfB Stuttgart, and scored a total of 30 goals in just 30 appearances across all competitions. Three of those goals came against Borussia Dortmund, and he could be wearing black and yellow next season.
