Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Füllkrug is said to be open to joining West Ham United amid rumours about the Premier League side's interest in his signature.

West Ham United are said to be interested in Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Füllkrug, with Atletico Madrid and AC Milan also in the race for his signature. According to Sky Sport, the Germany international is open to a move to the English Premier League side. And West Ham have seemingly opened talks with BVB to discuss the conditions of a possible deal.

Borussia Dortmund want Niclas Füllkrug to stay amid West Ham interest

Füllkrug only joined Borussia Dortmund last year, but could be on the move again this summer following the club's decision to sign Serhou Guirassy. The Black and Yellows want Füllkrug to stay and compete with the former Stuttgart striker for a spot in the starting XI. But it is currently unclear what the 31 year old's plans are for his future.

During his debut season with Borussia Dortmund, Füllkrug scored 15 goals and assisted a further ten in 43 appearances across all competitions. He also played a crucial role in BVB's run to the UEFA Champions League final, before impressing off the bench for Germany at the recently concluded European Championship.

Füllkrug's stock has continued to rise since his breakthrough on the Bundesliga stage in 2022. He currently has two years left on his current contract with Borussia Dortmund. And it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him beyond the end of the summer transfer window.
