Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Füllkrug is said to be attracting the interest of West Ham United, who have joined Atletico Madrid and AC Milan in the race for his signature.

The signing of Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart has left Borussia Dortmund with a striker surplus in their first-team. Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko are both free to leave the club as a result, and the latter has already signalled his desire to look for an exit. Although the BVB bosses want to keep hold of Niclas Füllkrug, who scored 15 goals and assisted a further ten in his debut season with the club.

Füllkrug's plans for his future are still uncertain, and there is a growing list of clubs with an interest in his signature. Atletico Madrid and AC Milan are leading the race to sign the 31 year old, and Sky Sports in England are now claiming that West Ham United also have him on their list of targets.

Whether West Ham will pursue a move for Füllkrug remains to be seen, but the striker will likely prioritise a club that can offer Champions League football if he does look to leave Borussia Dortmund.

Füllkrug joined Borussia Dortmund from Werder Bremen last summer and immediately established himself as the club's first-choice striker. He played a key role in BVB's run to the UEFA Champions League final, and also impressed at the European Championship this summer. The striker will return to training with BVB this week, which could bring more clarity on his plans for the future.
