Nuri Sahin has hailed the impact veteran midfielder Pascal Groß has made since making the switch to Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Pascal Groß has slotted in seamlessly at Borussia Dortmund since joining from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer transfer window. And BVB head coach Nuri Sahin is delighted with the 33 year old's start to life at the Westfalenstadion.
"Pascal Groß has done everything we wanted so far" - Nuri Sahin
During his pre-match press conference ahead of Borussia Dortmund's Champions League clash against Celtic, Sahin said that Groß has done in everything they could have asked for so far. "We are very happy that he is with us. His influence on our game is very obvious. Pascal has done everything we could have wanted so far."
Groß, who was also present at the press conference, spoke about his start to life at Borussia Dortmund and his role in the team.
"It's true, I'm in part responsible for getting the balance right. But I'm also someone who says, 'we defend together and we attack together.' I'm still trying to get to know everything. I know that we have to improve, we want to perform better, but we still have to keep winning. That's our goal."
The boyhood Borussia Dortmund fan added during the press conference that he is looking forward to playing Champions League football at the Westfalenstadion for the first time on Tuesday. "It's very, very special for me. The fans have carried us in our last few home games. They are what makes the club so special for me. The CL is a huge highlight. I'm really looking forward to it."
Groß has played from the start in all seven of Borussia Dortmund's games so far this season, and has established himself as a vital part of the team. The midfielder will hope to continue his strong start to life at BVB on Tuesday against Celtic.
