Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Julien Duranville are expected to receive more playing time at Borussia Dortmund next season, with the opportunity to establish themselves as regular starters.
Borussia Dortmund may well refrain from signing a new winger this summer, with Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Julien Duranville instead expected to get the chance to showcase their ability. This is being reported by BILD, who add that Nuri Sahin is keen to give the talented wingers more opportunities in the first-team.
Bynoe-Gittens made 34 appearances for Borussia Dortmund last season. He was used sporadically during the first half of the season, but was given more playing time after the winter break. The England U-21s international ended the campaign with two goals and eight assists to his name.
Duranville, meanwhile, featured just twice for the BVB first-team last season. He had to spend significant time on the sidelines due to various injury problems. The Belgium U-21s international was described as a future Ballon d'Or candidate by newly appointed Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany when he was at Anderlecht.
Donyell Malen and Karim Adeyemi are the other wingers in the Borussia Dortmund ranks, although both have been linked with moves away from the club in recent months. Although with Jadon Sancho not expected to join the Black and Yellows permanently, it remains to be seen if those in charge would be willing to sell the duo.
Regardless, Nuri Sahin will be keen to help with the development of Bynoe-Gittens and Duranville in the coming months. And the hope at Borussia Dortmund will be that both players enjoy their breakthrough campaigns next season.
