Borussia Dortmund will reportedly look to bring in reinforcements in five different positions during the upcoming summer transfer window.

With Lars Ricken now at the helm as CEO of sport, a new era begins at Borussia Dortmund this summer. Together with sporting director Sebastian Kehl and newly-appointed technical director Sven Mislintat, the 47 year old will look to bolster the BVB squad in the coming months.

On Wednesday, Ricken spoke about wanting a mix of hungry youngsters and experienced leaders in the Borussia Dortmund squad. And according to WAZ, the Black and Yellows are planning to bolster their roster in five different positions this summer.

Signing a new striker appears to be on BVB's agenda once again. Serhou Guirassy is said to be the club's top target, and he could replace Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko, who may well have to leave this summer.

Borussia Dortmund will also look to bolster their full-back ranks, with Ian Maatsen their top target for left-back. Although they would have to pay a club-record fee of around 35 million euros to turn his loan move into a permanent one.

Another winger could also arrive at BVB this summer, although it is unlikely that they will be able to afford a permanent move for Jadon Sancho. Another loan deal is also possible, but WAZ add that Chris Führich could be a possible alternative for the Englishman.

The struggles of Emre Can and Salih Özcan this season could also prompt Borussia Dortmund to look for a defensive midfielder in the summer. BVB wanted to bring in Edson Alvarez from Ajax last year, but decided against signing him in the end.

And finally, Borussia Dortmund would like to shore up their defensive ranks with a new centre-back. Mats Hummels has yet to make a final decision on his future, and a lot will depend on his plans. Regardless, BVB may look to sign a young defender who can be integrated into the first-team.
