Arsenal are said to be Borussia Dortmund's biggest competitors in the race to sign Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart at this stage.

Serhou Guirassy is Borussia Dortmund's top target to bolster their attack, and is available for a cut-price fee this summer thanks to a release clause in his contract. The striker is set to leave VfB Stuttgart in the coming weeks, and is keen to join BVB. But according to Sky Sport, the Black and Yellows are set to face competition from Arsenal in the race for his signature.

A number of clubs are said to be interested in signing Guirassy, who scored 30 goals in just 30 appearances for Stuttgart this season. But it appears that there will be a two horse race between Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal to sign the 28 year old.

The report adds that Guirassy has yet to make a final decision on his future, although he did say earlier this month that he can imagine making the switch to Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Borussia Dortmund would have to pay a transfer fee of around 18 million euros to sign Guirassy this summer. He is BVB's top target for the striker position, with those in charge at the club wanting to go into the new season with Guirassy and Niclas Füllkrug as their main strikers.

It will be interesting to see which club ends up winning the race to sign Serhou Guirassy, who played a crucial role in VfB Stuttgart's second place finish in the Bundesliga this season.
