Sebastian Kehl wants Borussia Dortmund to quickly switch their focus to the PSG tie and boost their hopes of qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League without finishing in the Bundesliga top four.

Borussia Dortmund suffered a 4-1 defeat away to RB Leipzig on Saturday, and now find themselves five points behind Marco Rose's fourth placed side in the Bundesliga standings. With only three games left to play in the Bundesliga this season, BVB's chances of finishing in the top four are all but gone.

But the Black and Yellows could yet play Champions League football next season, with the Bundesliga likely to be awarded five spots in next year's revamped edition of the tournament. This is due to UEFA's new coefficient rules and the three Bundesliga clubs left in European competitions need a maximum of two more wins (or one win and two draws) to ensure that five German teams will be playing Champions League football next season.

Borussia Dortmund can boost their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League as they face Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals. The first leg of the tie will take place at the Westfalenstadion on Wednesday, and Sebastian Kehl is looking forward to the game.

"We have to quickly turn our attention to Wednesday in order to turn fifth place into a Champions League place. We have that in our own hands," Kehl said following Borussia Dortmund's 4-1 defeat to RB Leipzig. "The whole of Germany is looking forward to this game. We haven't been in the semifinals of the Champions League since 2013. We will approach the game with our maximum concentration."

PSG will go into the tie as favourites, but Borussia Dortmund have enjoyed an incredible Champions League campaign so far and will now look to pull off yet another upset in the semifinals.
