"I came here to win titles" - Serhou Guirassy ready to make his mark at Borussia Dortmund

Serhou Guirassy is determined to lead Borussia Dortmund to titles after penning a four-year contract with the club.
Serhou Guirassy joins Borussia Dortmund on a cut-price fee thanks to a release clause of around 18.5 million euros in his contract with Stuttgart. The Black and Yellows were keen to bolster their attacking ranks this summer, and in the 28 year old, they are getting a player who finished last season as the Bundesliga’s second highest goalscorer.
The move was in doubt for a bit as Guirassy failed his medical due to a knee injury suffered on international duty. But he was eventually given a clean bill of health, and now becomes Borussia Dortmund's second signing of the summer.
"Every child interested in football in the world knows this club, knows about the black and yellow jerseys, knows about the yellow wall. I came here to win titles. That's my ambition, that's what drives me. The club showed what is possible at BVB last year by reaching the Champions League final," Guirassy said.
Guirassy is coming off an excellent campaign with Stuttgart, having scored 30 goals in just 30 appearances for them last season. The former FC Köln striker will hope to make a similar impact at Borussia Dortmund, where he is expected to compete with Niclas Füllkrug for a spot in the starting XI.
Borussia Dortmund will hope that Guirassy can help them compete for the Bundesliga title in the coming season, and add a cutting edge to the attack. Failure to make the most of their chances cost BVB heavily in the recently concluded season, most notably in their Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
The signing of Guirassy leaves Borussia Dortmund with four strikers in their ranks, and both Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko are now said to be free to leave the club. Although Füllkrug has also been linked with a move to Stuttgart in recent weeks.
