Several injury question marks for Borussia Dortmund ahead of Real Madrid clash

Borussia Dortmund will be sweating on the fitness of a number of key players ahead of their trip to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
In what will be a rematch of last season's UEFA Champions League final, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid will lock horns at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on Tuesday evening. The Black and Yellows will be out to gain a measure of revenge, having lost the final 2-0. But they may have to make do without a number of key players against the Spanish giants.
Attacking trio sidelined for Borussia Dortmund ahead of Real Madrid trip
Nuri Sahin will not be able to count on Karim Adeyemi, Julien Duranville, and Gio Reyna until after the international break in November. The trio's absence is a big blow for Borussia Dortmund, as it leaves them short of options in attack.
Pascal Groß also sustained an injury during Friday's 2-1 win over St. Pauli and had to be withdrawn at half-time. The 33 year old has been dealing with minor muscular problems, but Ruhr Nachrichten are reporting that Borussia Dortmund are confident he will be able to play against Real Madrid.
In defence, Yan Couto remains sidelined with injury. While Niklas Süle is a doubt for the trip to Madrid. The centre-back has been dealing with a stomach bug, but is now on the mend. He will hope to get back into match rhythm and could start on the bench in Madrid.
The rest of the Borussia Dortmund squad should be available for selection. After two matchdays of the revamped league phase of the UEFA Champions League, BVB find themselves at the top of the standings with Real Madrid down in 17th place.
