The Ukrainian international will have a point to prove on Saturday. And if he can get the better of one of world’s best left-backs, it will be a major boost for Dortmund.

The midfield battle between Mario Gotze and Javi Martinez could also prove to be key. Gotze is another player with a point to prove against his former club. And he will be relishing taking on the Spaniard, who has returned to the midfield under the new coach.

It remains to be seen if Peter Bosz picks Gonzalo Castro, Nuri Sahin or Julian Weigl. But whoever gets picked will have their hands full with Thiago, Corentin Tolisso and Arturo Vidal.

The two rivals have played some memorable matches over the years. And with so much on the line, Saturday’s encounter promises to be another epic one.
