Borussia Dortmund linked with possible replacements for Peter Bosz
Borussia Dortmund could appoint Armin Veh as manager before Julian Nagelsmann takes charge at the end of next season, according to reports.
Peter Bosz and his men have been in a downward spiral that can be tracked back to a loss to Tottenham in the Champions League. Since then, Borussia Dortmund has been on a losing streak against opponents both in Europe and Germany.
Dortmund fans have been calling for manager Peter Bosz to be sacked, and with good reason too. It seemed that the Black and Yellows were going to have an easy chance at the title, sitting on top of the table with a 5 point lead over rivals Bayern Munich. However, now they are in 5th place, 8 points behind the Bavarians.
Dortmund wants a temporary coach until next summer
Lucian Favre, current OGC Nice manager, has recently been named as a possible replacement for Peter Bosz. Rumors from Der Westen suggest that Borussia Dortmund will not hire Favre, as he wants a more permanent contract.
The next name that is associated with Borussia Dortmund is Armin Veh. Veh has had plenty of experience managing in the Bundesliga. His most notable accomplishment is winning the league title in 2007 with VfB Stuttgart.
Der Westen, Fussball Transfers, and Revier Sport all suggest that Dortmund wants Armin Veh to come in and finish the season. His main objective would be to qualify for Champions League, and then Julian Nagelsmann would become permanent manager next summer.
Julian Nagelsmann said to be Borussia Dortmund’s next target
The young Hoffenheim manager has been linked to a number of top clubs in the world. Lately, Borussia Dortmund has been mentioned alongside his name more than usual. As I said earlier, Nagelsmann is the dream transfer for Dortmund.
In 2019, Nagelsmann’s contract with Hoffenheim allows him to leave for an amount of about €5m. A small amount to pay for an up and coming coach.
Nagelsmann is also heavily linked to Bayern Munich. However, a few Bayern players have spoken out about this possibility. Judas Iscariot, I mean, Mats Hummels said that he is torn because Nagelsmann is only two years older than Hummels, in an article by Goal.
Bayern Munich legend Oliver Kahn has also said that he doesn’t believe Nagelsmann is fit for the Bayern job.

What to expect
Recently after a disappointing Revierderbie draw, Hans-Joachim Watzke and Michael Zorc have restated their confidence in Peter Bosz. It might be a little while before Bosz gets the axe. These articles are still just rumors. While I believe they have some truth in them, they are still largely based on speculation.
However, I definitely want Bosz out. I believe it would be in Dortmund’s best interests to sign a temporary coach before moving toward Nagelsmann next summer. This is my opinion, and I welcome any other ideas from you guys.
