The Hive: Our writers give their Borussia Dortmund transfer wishlists
Oliver Campo
My wish list is fairly short, Peter Bosz was already sacked, so now Borussia Dortmund can move on to its next phase.
BVB should seek out Kasper Dolberg during the winter break. Aubameyang is generally the only striker for the team. With Schurrle and Isak not being used often and the painful play that Yarmolenko has put on, there needs to be a backup at least. Dolberg is only 20 and a rising talent with Ajax. Over the course of his fledgling career, he has put away 38 goals.

Some may not believe a replacement for Aubameyang is necessary, but I’ve lost faith in the striker. Plus, he is vocal about wanting to leave for the longest time. I appreciate what the Gabon international has done, but BVB needs to move on.
I want to see the younger players get more playing time. Stöger prepped for 3 games and barely a lot of practice in between. Once the team is training together again, a proper understanding of his tactics and rotation would make a great change for the second half of the season.
The last thing I wish for is the sale of a few players. There is a chance some of these players may not be well-liked choices as well. Omer Toprak, Gonzalo Castro, Sebastian Rode and Andriy Yarmolenko are the players that should find new clubs over the winter break. Some may be injured, yet I don’t see these players making much of an impact for the rest of the season.
