Players to Watch

Rouwen Hennings

Veteran striker Rouwen Hennings is Düsseldorf’s main goal threat and their top goal scorer with 14 goals in 28 games this season. His importance to Die Flingeraner is second to none and without the German, his team would probably already be relegated. The 32-year-old scored a brace last weekend against Hoffenheim, and has near enough scored half of their overall league goals this season.

More from BVB Buzz

Erik Thommy

Winger Erik Thommy is another dangerous threat that the Black and Yellows will have to be wary of this weekend, and his battle down the left-hand side against Hakimi will be a fascinating spectacle. The winger has notched six goals and provided four assists this season.

Erling Haaland

Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland is set to make his return after missing the last two games, albeit likely from the bench. Haaland has an incredible record off the bench so far for Borussia Dortmund, and don’t be surprised if he adds to his tally on Saturday.

Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho had been battling fitness issues during the first few weeks of the return, but scored a wonderful hat-trick against Paderborn to mark his first full 90 minutes since the defeat in March against PSG. His performance will be crucial to Borussia Dortmund’s chances of getting the three points.
