Borussia Dortmund have announced that Marius Wolf and Tom Rothe will both miss the team’s remaining three games this year.

Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without Marius Wolf and Tom Rothe for their next three games, with the duo sidelined until the World Cup break. The Black and Yellows have revealed that both players will not be able to play again this year.

Marius Wolf has been dealing with an infection for the last few weeks, and has already missed a number of games as a result. Borussia Dortmund have now revealed that the versatile wide player has been diagnosed with an infection-related disorder of the vestibular system.

Tom Rothe suffered a knee injury in training earlier this week and will now be sidelined for the rest of the year. He will also miss Borussia Dortmund’s tour of Asia, which is scheduled to take place later this month.

Borussia Dortmund have been forced to deal with a number of injury problems this season, and are especially short of options in the full-back positions. Thomas Meunier and Mateu Morey are also sidelined at the moment, while Raphael Guerreiro has been dealing with muscular problems.

Niklas Süle and Thorgan Hazard have been asked to fill in as a result. And it is quite possible that the duo may have to play at right-back and left-back respectively for the next three games as well.
