Youssoufa Moukoko will not be joining Real Betis with the Spanish club pulling out of the race to sign the Borussia Dortmund striker.

Borussia Dortmund are keen to part ways with Youssoufa Moukoko this summer, and the 19 year old has also made his desire to leave the club public via his agent. But there are increasing worries that a solution may not be found before the transfer closes in less than two weeks' time.

Real Betis appeared to be a realistic destination for Moukoko. And it was reported that the player had an agreement on personal terms in place with the Spanish side. And the two clubs were also in negotiations over the transfer fee.

But according to BILD, Real Betis have decided against signing Moukoko and have instead opted to sign Vitor Roque from FC Barcelona on a loan deal.

This comes as a blow for Moukoko, who came close to joining Olympique Marseille earlier this summer before the transfer collapsed. It remains to be seen if any other clubs have concrete interest in signing the highly rated striker, although Nottingham Forest have also been linked with him in recent days.

With four strikers in their ranks, Borussia Dortmund will hope for the sale of Youssoufa Moukoko before the transfer window closes. The striker was left out of the BVB squad for their season opener in the DFB-Pokal last weekend, and may have to spend the majority of the season on the sidelines if he is unable to secure a move away from BVB.
