Borussia Dortmund identify Chris Führich as Jadon Sancho alternative

Borussia Dortmund are considering bringing Chris Führich back to the club, with the VfB Stuttgart winger a potential alternative to Jadon Sancho.
Signing a new winger appears to be on Borussia Dortmund’s list of priorities for this summer transfer window. And with Jadon Sancho increasingly unlikely to stay with the Black and Yellows, a reunion with Chris Führich could potentially be on the cards. According to BILD, the BVB bosses are considering a move for the 26 year old who is coming off an excellent campaign with VfB Stuttgart.
A move for Führich would cost Borussia Dortmund around 26 million euros thanks to a release clause in his contract. The winger scored eight goals and assisted a further seven in the Bundesliga this season, and also fought his way into the Germany squad for Euro 2024. He has four years left on his current contract with Stuttgart.
Borussia Dortmund are no strangers to Führich, as he came through the club's youth team ranks and featured for the U-23s team before moving to SC Paderborn in 2020.
Führich has enjoyed a meteoric rise since leaving Borussia Dortmund, and is said to be attracting the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
BVB will not have to face competition from Bayern Munich for the signing of the Germany international, with the Bavarians on the verge of signing Michael Olise from Crystal Palace. However, the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are still in the race to sign the winger.
Borussia Dortmund are said to be targeting a number of players from VfB Stuttgart this summer. They are on the verge of signing Stuttgart captain Waldemar Anton, and are also the favourites for Serhou Guirassy’s signature. And it will be interesting to see if Chris Führich joins the duo at the Westfalenstadion next season.
