Borussia Dortmund will begin their pre-season preparations on Friday when they take on a team of amateur footballers and influencers in the DEW-Traumspiel in Holzwickede.

Nuri Sahin will look to put his players through their paces in Borussia Dortmund’s first pre-season friendly of the summer that will take place at the sold out Montanhydraulik-Stadion. Getting back into match rhythm will be on the agenda for the BVB players taking part in this match.

The Black and Yellows will be without all the players who featured at the European Championship and Copa America, including new signing Waldemar Anton. But fans in Holzwickede will still get to see a number of big names from the BVB first-team in action, including the likes of Niklas Süle, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Felix Nmecha.

A number of young players are also set to feature for Borussia Dortmund on Friday, and will be eager to make an impact. Fresh off his contract extension, Cole Campbell will hope for some minutes on the pitch in Holzwickede. Julien Duranville, Paris Brunner, Kjell Wätjen, and Almugera Kabar could also be given the opportunity to impress on Friday.

Tom Rothe and Soumaila Coulibaly will make their returns to the Borussia Dortmund squad following their loan spells with Holstein Kiel and Royal Antwerp respectively.
