The latest edition of Der Klassiker is upon us, as Borussia Dortmund make the trip to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga this weekend.

Borussia Dortmund will hope to finally get the better of Bayern Munich when they make the trip to the Allianz Arena this weekend. Edin Terzic's side will be desperate for three points on Saturday, with their hopes of qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League hanging in the balance. Bayern Munich will also be eager to get the win as they look to keep their faint title hopes alive.

The Black and Yellows will hope to welcome Jadon Sancho, Julian Ryerson, and Sebastien Haller back into the squad on Saturday, although Gregor Kobel (illness) and Donyell Malen (thigh injury) will miss the trip to Munich. Marcel Sabitzer remains out through suspension, and Ramy Bensebaini is facing the rest of the season on the sidelines.

Here we take a look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up for their Bundesliga clash against Bayern Munich this weekend.

Alexander Meyer will keep his place in goal on Saturday, with Gregor Kobel not ready to feature against Bayern Munich.

At right-back, Julian Ryerson is set to return to the starting XI after recovering from his skin problem. Ian Maatsen will start on the opposite flank, looking to build on his impressive start to life at Borussia Dortmund.

Mats Hummels has proven to be Borussia Dortmund's big game player this season. But Edin Terzic may well be tempted to give Niklas Süle a shot against his former club, as he is more likely to be able to match the pace of the Bayern forwards on the counter-attack. Nico Schlotterbeck will once again start as the left centre-back.

It will be interesting to see what personnel Edin Terzic decides to go with in midfield. Emre Can will start in the number six role, with one of Felix Nmecha and Salih Özcan set to start alongside him. Julian Brandt is also expected to keep his spot in midfield, although Marco Reus will also hope to feature after impressing before the interantional break.

In attack, Jadon Sancho will likely return to the starting XI. He has scored in each of his last two appearances, and will hope to cause a few problems to the Bayern defenders on Saturday.

Donyell Malen's absence is a big blow for Borussia Dortmund. One of Karim Adeyemi and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens could come into the team in his place, and Reus could be an option as well. Leading the attack will be Niclas Füllkrug, who has found goals hard to come by in BVB colours in recent games, but did score the winner for Germany against the Netherlands earlier this week.

Expected Borussia Dortmund Starting XI vs Bayern Munich: Meyer - Ryerson, Süle, Schlotterbeck, Maatsen - Can, Nmecha, Brandt - Adeyemi, Sancho - Füllkrug
