Borussia Dortmund are not planning to part ways with Emre Can and Niclas Füllkrug this summer, Sebastian Kehl has revealed.

With Borussia Dortmund looking to complete the signing of Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart, Niclas Füllkrug has been linked with a move away from the club. A spectacular swap deal has also been mentioned, with Stuttgart seemingly interested in signing the Germany international as a replacement for Guirassy.

Emre Can has also been mentioned as a player who could leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, with Napoli reportedly showing interest in his signature.

But Borussia Dortmund have no plans to sell the duo this summer, sporting director Sebastian Kehl has now revealed.

The 44 year old has made it clear that both Can and Füllkrug remain part of BVB's plans for the coming season. "I've spoken to Niclas and Emre, of course, just as I have with all the other players involved at Euro 2024. We are planning with them," Kehl said in an interview with WAZ.

Niclas Füllkrug and Emre Can set to face more competition for spots at Borussia Dortmund

Emre Can endured a difficult first season as Borussia Dortmund captain, while Niclas Füllkrug proved to be a decisive figure among the BVB faithful despite a rather solid debut season at the club following his move from Werder Bremen.

Both players are set to face more competition for places next season, with Borussia Dortmund hoping to complete deals for Serhou Guirassy and Pascal Groß.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the two players view their futures with the Black and Yellows, especially if they find themselves out of the starting XI at the start of next season.
