Schlotterbeck shines in Dortmund's 3-2 win over Frankfurt: Player Ratings

Borussia Dortmund officially secured second place in the 2025-26 Bundesliga season with a 3-2 defeat of Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday.

The Eagles went in front after only 78 seconds when Can Uzun struck, but the BVB turned the tie around towards the end of the opening stanza through Serhou Guirassy and Nico Schlotterbeck.

Samuele Inacio, making his first start for the Black and Yellows, consolidated their grip on the match by scoring their third of the evening with a superb finish from close range.

Frankfurt pulled one back in the dying stages when Jonathan Burkardt made it 3-2 to set up an interesting finale but Dortmund held on to seal all three points.

Gregor Kobel - 6: Was powerless for either of Frankfurt's strikes; his hopes of a 15th clean sheet were wiped out inside 78 seconds of the game!

Luca Reggiani - 5.5: Lacked positional awareness and composure

Waldemar Anton - 7: Excellent vision and dominated aerially too, winning six duels

Nico Schlotterbeck - 7.5: Scored his fifth goal of the league season, more than any defender in the Bundesliga; solid defensively too, making four clearances and three recoveries.

Julian Ryerson - 7: Extended his remarkable assist record for the season to 14 in the Bundesliga by squaring it for Guirassy for the opener; 17th assist in all competitions and he's just a full-back!

Marcel Sabitzer - 6.5: Stood his ground in the face of Frankfurt's aggression

Jobe Bellingham - 6: Excellent passing range but came a cropper in his duels

Maximilian Beier - 8: Set up Schlotterbeck for their second after scampering down on the left near the box; repeated the trick for Inacio's goal too! for the first time, Beier bagged two assists in a single game

Julian Brandt - 7.5: Read the game brilliantly to open up Frankfurt's defense and created one chance on the night too

Samuele Inacio - 7.5: Started for the first time and made it count with an eye-catching display, topped off with a confident strike in the second half to open his goalscoring account too

Serhou Guirassy - 7: Brought the BVB level in the 41st minute with a non-chalant finish off Ryerson's lay-off and from a tight angle too; 16 league goals for the season
