Borussia Dortmund: Full list of 15 players called up for international duty!

Borussia Dortmund have one of the biggest contingent that's heading for international duty as 15 of their stars will be in action with their national teams.

Following an exhilarating start to 2026-27 season, club football is set for a three-week long hiatus for an extended international window, a first since the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

We've already covered the list of players who'll be in action with the youth sides. Here's now a dive into the 15 players called up by their nation's senior team:

1) Waldemar Anton, Nico Schlotterbeck and Felix Nmecha have been called up by new Germany manager Jurgen Klopp across two squads, although Maximilian Beier misses out.

2) Dortmund's talismanic custodian Gregor Kobel has been summoned by Switzerland.

3) Assist-king Julian Ryerson rejoins Norway's squad for their crucial Nations League fixtures.

4) Austria have recalled Carney Chukwuemeka although Marcel Sabitzer has announced a temporary break from international duties.

5) Daniel Svensson will be back with Sweden, who also have a qudruple-header in the Nations League, just like Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Norway.

6) BVB's new anchorman in midfield Joey Veerman has been recalled by the Netherlands after over two years by new manager Xavi following his bright start to life in Germany.

7) Speaking of international returns, Fabio Silva too has received a call-up from Portugal's Jorge Jesus as the in-form forward looks to revive his Selecao career.

8) Of Dortmund's two greek stars, Konstantinos Karetsas will be in action for Greece over the next few weeks, as Giannis Konstantelias recovers from a torn ACL on the sidelines.

9) The BVB also have a strong Italian contingent, but only Samuele Inacio will be playing for the Azzurri this international window; Filippo Mane is currently injured and Luca Reggiani is with the U21s.

10) Youth team star Enzo Duarte's promising preseason run has yielded him another call-up with Luxembourg.

11) Prolific striker Serhou Guirassy will be leading the line for Guinea in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

12) Ramy Bensebaini, the only other African player in the squad, will be in action for Algeria in their quest to reach the 2027 AFCON edition.

13) BVB's youth icon Mathis Albert has received his first-ever USMNT call-up and is in line to make his international debut soon under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
