Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig lock horns in a pulsating battle of talented sides in the Bundesliga tonight as sparks are set to fly at the Signal Iduna Park.
The BVB are looking hot on the coattails of leaders Bayern Munich, whom they trail by only six points now, whereas the Red Bulls are hoping for a fifth win against them in seven matches.
Niko Kovac's side though, are the most in-form team in the Bundesliga right now, commanding a six-game winning run in the competition, the longest such active streak in the German top-flight.
While not every victory during this run has been convincing, the well-oiled unit has developed a knack for getting the job done regardless.
The match also promises an exciting showdown between two in-form African forwards, Dortmund's Serhou Guirassy and Leipzig's Yan Diomande.
Guirassy back to his best
An instrumental reason behind their upturn in form has been Serhou Guirassy. The Dortmund striker has recaptured his mojo in front of goal after months of toiling as he's now struck six goals from their last four games in all competitions.
More importantly, Guirassy has popped up with the goods in crucial moments. When the BVB trailed Heidenheim 2-1, it was his brace that helped turn the tie around and save Dortmund the embarrassment of losing to the worst team in the division.
A week later when the Black and Yellows were heading towards a 1-1 draw with Wolfsburg, Guirassy stepped up to the plate in the 87th minute to net a winner and secure all three points for Dortmund again.
He's also expanded his goalscoring techniques, with Guirassy netting a couple of headers during this run too, including two against Mainz in their dominant 4-0 win last weekend. It shows the 29-year-old isn't only a threat from open play, but aerially too.
Diomande enjoying a breakout year with Leipzig
Leipzig have their own African talisman in Yan Diomande, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence with the side this season following a series of eye-catching displays.
Just 19 years of age, the Ivorian has netted nine goals and made a further five assists in 21 Bundesliga appearances so far including a hat-trick against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Blessed with electric pace and devastating finishing skills, Diomande has the potential to become one of the best in the business if he continues in the current trajectory.
He's currently linked with Liverpool, who are looking for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah. But for now, all eyes will be on Diomande as he takes the stage against Dortmund tonight.
